The message is clear Stop the Violence and Keep your Hands to yourself

Last year Maroochydore Police introduced an innovative and interactive educational awareness programs in a bid to address alcohol fuelled violence.

The Pub Safe program brings together the Queensland Police Service, local government, licensees, Safe Night Precinct members and the community in a partnership aimed at delivering a comprehensive management plan to continually maintain the public’s awareness of alcohol fuelled violence and its consequences to the community.

To promote the message Stop the Violence  and Let it go,  2 time Olympian (Boxing) Brad Hore was invited to take the pledge by signing the inflatable message board.   Brad is an avid campaigner of reducing violence in the community.   Brad was inspired to start  his own the campaign, which involves writing the words on the palms of your hands and then posting the image of them on social media with the hashtag #keepyourhandstoyourself, by the ‘sickening’ incidence of one punch attacks and domestic violence.

For more information on these programs please contact the Maroochydore Police station
